“I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for helping me reach my goal of running a half marathon before I turned 40. Even after I signed up for the race I still could not see myself running 13.1 miles. With the great 16 week training program you set up I knew I could accomplish my goal with confidence. Each week built on the one before and before I knew it I was running longer than I ever had. I enjoyed having the opportunity to try new running trails with our group runs. The Tobacco Trail and the Neuse River trail have to be my favorites. I so enjoyed the experience that I signed up for three more races even before I ran my first! I also want to thank Mark Allard with New Balance for giving us the opportunity to have you as our running coach. Not only did it allow me to achieve a personal goal but it has also given me a new love of running.” Alica A.
“I have to thank you for your guidance and leadership in pushing me to achieve what I thought was impossible (at 54) and I give you credit for helping me check off one more thing from my bucket list. When I first started running I thought to myself, "Am I crazy or what"? The more I ran I realized I knew I could do it...thanks to your workout calendar and encouragement. I do have to say your pointers in running hills, swinging elbows, and using your ankles for downhills really worked. I am proud to say I did not walk any of the run on Sunday. My children, grandchildren and my Ironman boyfriend are really proud of me. (Ironman boyfriend) was impressed how I took on the hills, with really good pace times. Thanks again and I did have the option of running with some other running groups (I shopped around) and I am glad I chose yours and New Balance.” Rose Mary R.
“I want to thank you for putting together such an amazing training program. One of my fears was hurting myself in one way or another. As soon as I started your program I felt very strong and knew that it was put together in a way that the risk of injury was less. I loved the way that the training increased in such a way that I never felt I wanted to give up, only go at it harder. Words can't describe the feeling that I had when I crossed over the finish line on Sunday. The emotions were running very high. I know many moms like myself always put ourselves last. This was one thing that I did for "Me" and stuck to it. I didn't even mind getting up before 5 and running during the week. I actually looked forward to it. I just wanted you to know that I will forever be grateful to you and everything you have done for me.” Carolyn R.
