Speed Training
Marathon training season is approaching soon, but you don't have to start building those miles just yet! So now is the perfect time to work on improving your speed without the worries of mileage build-up. For those running shorter distances, speedwork is even more critical to helping you knock off time from your races. Shake up your workouts with a variety of training over 8 weeks to help get those legs moving faster!
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Participants will improve their VO2Max, lactate threshold and lactate tolerance through a variety of coach-led speed workouts. This 8 week program offers one morning workout and one evening workout per week, and participants can choose to come to either or both workouts at the same cost. Participants will perfect their running form and breathing techniques while adapting to faster paces.
TUESDAYS: 6 PM, Wake Forest-Rolesville Middle School Track
THURSDAYS: 9:30 AM, Neuse River Greenway
PROGRAM DURATION (8 Weeks, 16 workouts): April 30 – June 20th
